Are You Kiddin’ Me!?!

Great game last night! Did you see LeBrons stat line for his game against the Celtics Friday January 1? 38 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assist, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots. Not to mention the bang up job he did defending Paul Pierce. I’m thinking MVP and defensive player of the year. I know there are a few other people that are in the running for the defensive player, but who does it on both ends of the floor like LeBron? Just throwing that out there… The man is unreal. 270 and he moves like a point guard. I feel fortunate to say that I seen him and continue to see him come into his prime.

Go Cavs! Also, this made me cry I was laughing so hard…

Could We?

So the Cavs are off to a roaring start this year. ( So are the Celtics. And Lakers.) Could this be the year? I mean, Ohio deserves a championship. It’s been too long. I guess we’ll see this January as Big Z. is out for a month. And with the Celtics tomorrow and the Magic , and Lakers, the Cavs are in for a challenge. Andy V. is going to have to stand up. So will Delante. Mo has been more than expected. LeBron, if he keeps it up, and the Cavs end with a winning season, he’ll be MVP. And if you think about it, the Cavs should make it to the finals. I know I shouldn’t think ahead but it’s hard with a team of this caliber. They almost beat Boston in 7. And LeBron carried most of the load. Now we have Mo, Delante and Andy are playing well, Ben is healthy and is playing like it’s back in the Pistons championship days. When Z is on, he’s almost unsoppable. (He’s also leading the team in 3 point %. Go figure.) The Cavs gave the C’s the hardest time in the playoffs last year also. We are so close it hurts. Moving on…

New Music Overload!!! (+ The Cavs Break Me Heart!!!)

Ok. I like music as much as the next guy. Pry even more! So when Ryan Adams and Snow Patrol drop new stuff the same week, I get excited! The only thing is I feel overwhelmed. What to listen to? Conundrum! Plus I have to find time to listen. That is a problem. I have to write a report tonight, and memorize verses for school. It’s all good though!

Anyone watch the NBA opener? Cavs vs The Celtics? I did. I was a bit frusterated. No lie. Up 10. Can’t hit free throws. Breaks my heart. I still love ‘em.

The Bible Cliff Notes

I was talking to friends about cliff notes and what it would say if the Bible had them. This is what we came up with…

In the begining, God created the Heavens and the earth. And then everything else. Then man screws up and are doomed. But God still loves us and comes up with a plan. Then Jesus comes and saves the day…And pretty much everyday. For those who believe, we’ve already won. And for those who don’t are gonna burn.

New And Amazing

So I just started something new. I have started classes at Youngstown Masters Commission. It has been a full week and it likewise has been crazy. And awesome. Just CRAZY AWESOME!!! I’m just trusting God for everything I need because it’s not easy leaving your job (especially with a wife and daughter) and follow Him.

I’ve met some really great people and God is really doing a work in me and all of us. It’s been real exciting.

My wife is pregnant and that is even more news sence the last I wrote. All in all it’s been a pretty crazy few months.

Why I Love…

Chris Bosh! Wow. Is he ever doing awesome in the Olympics! He’s been everywhere! And a force on the offensive AND more importantly, the defensive. That is why he has slowly become one of my favorite players and people this last week.

On the same note, LeBron is rocking as probably the most reliable player for Team USA with around 15.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg, and 4 apg. He’s also leading the team in steals and blocked shots. Wow. That boy is a man (as Charles would say.)

Plus, I’m starting to come around to Kobe. His work ethic and drive for winning is just out of this world. Plus he is the Mamba on defense. Just scary! The only person I don’t love on Team USA is Carmelo. He’s a great player but I just can’t get behind the guy.

Anywho, GO USA! I can’t wait to get up at 2:00 a.m. and watch the game tonight!(Sarcasm added) Peace out!

My Strat

Hey there world. Here I am going to share pictures of my American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster that I relic’ d myself. Now I have always wanted a Stevie Ray Vaughan style, number one Strat that is warn to the wood.  And if I had $3000+ to order

 one from the Fender Custom Shop, I would, but I don’t, so I did it myself. Here she is (her name is Lydia).

That’s the Way This Wheel Keeps Working…

I am sitting here at 10 a.m. just before I go to sleep (I work midnights) listening To John Mayer’s Heavier Things on vinyl. More specifically, John’s tiny masterpiece, Wheel. 

I first heard this song while I was living in Florida going to Bible school, Missing my family (who lived in Ohio) and heart broken over my sister’s passing just months before. Heavier Things was released and I broke curfew to go buy it at midnight at a local Wal Mart. I listened to the whole thing that night. Wheel broke my heart.

Every time I hear that song, it’s like I hear it again for the first time, and the first thing I think about is my sister. The song itself is a little bittersweet but at the same time, it’s a comfort to me some how. Saying goodbye, especially how my and sis did, sucks. But you know, I’m gonna see her again. I just can’t forget what it was all about. What life is all about! I still miss her. I always will. Just like breaking a bone. It’s going to heal, but sometimes, it’s going to hurt. Some days more than others.

So I guess that’s where I’m at today; listening to this song and missing Kailee. But just someday, my life’s gonna see, the love I gave, return to me…
